There it is…You’ve gotten what your “meant” to have. Society says it, and your feeling like the boxes have been checked, and your bags seem far from being packed. But, is the two-car garage with the extra cars, the closet space too small for all those clothes, and the empty additional bedrooms enough for you to feel completely fulfilled?
Or is there something below the EGO calling to you from the soul?
A place you want to go! Something you want to pursue! A dream is just waiting for you to shine some light on it!
Do you ever wonder why we suppress these feelings? We are not fully to blame, and we are raised to believe this is the way to Happiness.
They say in school stay safe, don’t stray from the path, decide your career before you even know who you are!
Sprinkle on top the daily news, or should we dare call it the daily negativity. It’s all part of the larger plan that ends up with the wrong power given to the wrong man. What if we taught children meditation, self-actualization, and spontaneous inspiration from an early age? We are beyond lucky to be born with a tool like a mind to plan future and look back on the past. We can use this tool in positive ways while remaining true and authentic to the personal greatness.
Why give out grades to a large group of individuals when a goldfish can’t climb a tree, and a monkey doesn’t know how to swim?
We know that’s bold and were not saying the most ambitious goldfish don’t climb trees lol. But, we are all different and learn in different ways. Some gain more than others, some learn nothing at all and succeed in something that no-one else understands. You may have imagined you were a dolphin as a kid playing in the pool, we remember pretending to be monkeys on the playground, it all goes to show we dream to be unique people and good education brings greatness.
We know we are all unique and want to rise above the mundane experiences.
We think the best teachers are the people from foreign countries who have “nothing” when it comes to society standards, but when asked if they are happy, their eyes light up, and their response is short and pure, Happiness is there. They experience happiness with the people around them and in the miracle of waking up every day to live. We recall a taxi driver while spending some time in Thailand who had only his taxi, a small hut on the outskirts of town, and his family but his smile stretched for miles, a smile we will never forget.
There is something beyond the materialistic possessions!
Albert Einstein once said, ” Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Take a moment to think back to that first bicycle ride. Hold that feeling with you. That feeling has been within us from the beginning of human existence. Our ancestors knew it as “happiness.” No material human-made thing will bring you that pure feeling. Take a step back from the house, the two-car garage, the over-stuffed closet, and think about what you are chasing. Are you happy chasing that or is there something more to life? The late Robin Williams once said, ” You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.”
